A Village of Santo Domingo man is the sole applicant thus far for a vacant supervisor’s seat in Community Development District 2.
Bill Schikora has applied for the seat that had been held by Nick Jones, who passed away on Oct. 4.
Applications for the seat are still being accepted at the District Office at Lake Sumter Landing.
Supervisors had indicated they were planning to make the appointment in November.
