Phil Walker was selected Friday as a member of the Community Development District 8 Board of Supervisors.
Walker has been serving as the CDD 8 representative to the Architectural Review Committee. He indicated he will be resigning his ARC seat in order to serve as a supervisor.
He also serves on the board of the Villages Homeowners Association.

He replaces Joe Elliott who has moved out of the district.
Walker and his wife, Donna, built their home in the Village of Pennecamp in 2010.
Prior to The Villages, the Walkers lived in Iowa, Nebraska and Kansas.
He retired after 45 years from the Midwest grocery company, Hy-Vee. While working for Hy-Vee, he held positions as retail store director and assistant Vice President of store set up. His duties included overseeing the setup of new food stores, drugstores, gas stations, along with remodels and store relocations.
