The driver of a golf cart and his passenger were transported to The Villages Regional Hospital on Tuesday after their golf cart tipped over.
The golf cart had been traveling at about 5 p.m. southbound on Southern Trace when it came upon a truck parked in front of a house in the golf cart lane, according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
The driver had been blinded by the sun and swerved to avoid the truck. When the golf cart returned to the lane, it hit the curb and tipped over.
