A new year represents a fresh start and new life. Leesburg’s first baby of 2016 was delivered at Leesburg Regional Medical Center. Jayden greeted the world at 5:08 a.m. New Year’s Day. Weighing 8 pounds and 15 ounces, Jayden was born to proud parents Brandi McConachie and Holden Jay Ellington of the Lake Panasoffkee area. Dr. Wendell J. Courtney, a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist with Lakeside Center for Women delivered Jayden.
“Welcoming new babies into the world is always an exciting part of leading the maternity unit at The Life Center for Women at Leesburg Regional Medical Center,” said Sandra Mullin, the Center’s director. “However, it is even more special when it is the first baby of the New Year. On behalf of the entire staff, I would like to congratulate the parents and family of this bundle of joy.”
