Tired of rolling down your window every time you approach an entrance gate in The Villages?

Fearful you’re going to burn out the motor of your car’s window by having to pull out your white card to gain entry through every gate?
Community Development District 2 Supervisor Marty Rothbard expressed those frustrations on Wednesday morning when he appealed to the Amenity Authority Committee to consider making a change.
Rothbard pointed out that with all of the technical advances of the past several years, the white cards are woefully outdated.
He wondered if a sticker on a window, similar to the one like SunPass uses on cars on the Florida Turnpike, might be a better option for residents.
“With a community like this, you’d think we could afford it,” Rothbard said.
The AAC took no action on Rothbard’s request.
