This is in response to many of the comments made. First, the cost estimate of $300,000 is grossly overstated; it is only about $100,000. Second, side striping, if done on the concrete curbing, would not cause residents to slip due to the nature of the paint, BECAUSE no one walks or rides on the curbing now, so why would they do so if there was striping on it!!! Finally, most comments recognize that visibility would be improved with striping, and even the engineer admitted that striping would not make the paths less safe, so what are the remaining logical arguments against it?
