To the Editor:
I’d like to acknowledge the kindness of a stranger. I was shopping in Save-A-Lot in Wildwood on the afternoon of March 10th. While I was placing several boxes of cereal in my cart, a man passed me and jokingly commented that I must love that cereal. I told him that the cereal wasn’t for me; I was buying it for the food pantry where I volunteer. With that, the gentleman went into his wallet, handed me some money, and told me to buy more groceries.
I never got the gentleman’s name, but his kindness and generosity made my day and has helped to feed the families who frequent St. Theresa’s Food Pantry in Belleview. I can’t thank this gentleman enough.
