Community Development District 8 residents packed the house at Friday morning’s meeting, encouraging supervisors to appoint Duane Johnson to the board.
They got their wish.
Johnson was selected among the four applicants for the vacancy created by the resignation this past month of Supervisor Ray Banks. You can read more about that HERE.
“I am overwhelmed by your presence today,” Johnson told those in attendance after he was selected for the position.
Johnson had been appointed to the board a few years ago but lost the seat to Banks in the 2014 election.
Other applicants were John Conboy, Robert Houston and Larry McMurry.
