A man who had been driving a golf cart suffered a head injury and was transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center after an accident at about 3 p.m. Tuesday on Morse Boulevard.
The golf cart and a car both had been traveling in the same direction on Morse Boulevard at Angelita Avenue when the car cut off the golf cart. Although there had been no contact between the two vehicles, the golf cart driver swerved to avoid a collision and hit a curb, according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. He was knocked out of the golf cart.
A woman who had been in the golf cart was not injured.
The Florida Highway Patrol has been called to investigate the accident.
