To the Editor:
The news media is having a feeding frenzy over the possibility of a disruptive Republican Convention; praying for a battle between Trump and the Republican establishment. “How will the voters react if their votes are ignored,” they chant. “This is the demise of the party,” some voice with joy.
On the Democrat side we hear Hillary has a huge, unstoppable lead. They fail to mention that highly ignored little topic; super-delegates. All we hear is that Hillary has a 700+ delegate lead. Well the truth is, Clinton barely has a 250 delegate lead with Sanders winning the last 3 primaries and 469 of her votes in the overall count are, yes, that’s right, super-delegates. How many does Bernie have; 29. Who are the super-delegates? The power brokers of the DNC; distinguished party leaders, Governors, Senators, House Members and prominent Democrat members. That’s right news fans, the very group that the media condemns as the Republican establishment. Imagine that!
