A 16-year-old girl who had been at the wheel of a golf cart that crashed this past week on Odell Circle, won’t be ticketed in the crash.
The accident occurred at 4:27 p.m. Thursday when the girl was driving a golf cart southbound on Odell Circle on a downhill grade. The golf cart’s speed increased, she overcorrected and the golf cart turned over, according to an accident report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

The girl was ejected from the cart and suffered minor scrapes. She was the only one in the golf cart, the sheriff’s office indicated.
