Margie Eaton, candidate for supervisor of elections in Lake County will be the guest speaker at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 2 at The Villages Conservative Action Group meeting at Savannah Center. Villagers and non-Villagers are invited. Coffee will be available.

Eaton is a Republican but said she understands the office should remain nonpartisan and not political.  “It is the place where your party affiliation should never determine how you do your job,” she said.

She is a native Floridian, born in Winter Park. She moved to Eustis with her family in 1972. She attended Eustis Elementary, Eustis Middle School and Eustis High School.  She received her AA in general education in 1990 and an AS in Legal Assisting in 1998 from Lake-Sumter State College.  She  spent several years as an office manager for a construction company  She also has more than 15 years of legal experience, where she has been a legal assistant, paralegal and currently a Judicial Assistant to a County Judge in Orlando.
