Passing cars honked their horns in support of the Women for Trump rally that took place on the Interstate 75 Overpass in Ocala on Saturday morning.
Sue Cianci of the Village of Charlotte and head of Women for Trump began the organization as a sub-group from the Republican Federated Women’s Club of Sumter County.
Driven by fervent support for Trump, group members, along with Bill Garner, chair of the Trump Campaign in Sumter County, waved American flags and held up signs for passing cars on the busy highway.

Cianci, who was aware of a few critics who responded to their rally, brushed off negative comments and expressed how much fun was involved in rallying.
The leader said that once the first sign was put up, many cars kept honking in support of the group.
“We love it, we have fun,” said Cianci as many passing trucks sounded their horns several times from below the overpass.
To some, Women for Trump may sound like an oxymoron. However, members of the group explained why they believe the Republican nominee is for women.

“Trump is invested in this country,” said Ocala resident and group member Donna McCartney. She explained that those who believed Trump to be misogynistic “need more information” as Trump has helped many women, throughout his business career.
“Trump has a big heart for the country. One, he hires women and promotes them. Two, he likes women and has a beautiful wife. Three, he has daughters and has raised them well,” Cianci said.
In response to controversial remarks by the presidential hopeful, Cianci described Trump as honest and that his comments “roll off his back.”
Eileen Pratt of the Village of Fernandina called Trump “perfect.” Although the media focuses on Trump’s negative sound bites, Pratt believes that the business mogul speaks his mind and “treats women fine.”
The members will gather Monday at the Bacall Recreation Center where people can attend to receive Trump cards made by the group.
