A man who had been driving a motorcycle in a May 14 accident that claimed the life of his female passenger, walked out of jail Thursday after a little more than two hours in custody.

Bryan Barnash, 58, of Clermont, is facing a charge of DUI manslaughter in connection with the death of 58-year-old Diane Lanthier.

He was booked at 1:44 p.m. Thursday at the Lake County Jail. He posted $30,000 bond and walked out of the jail at 3:54 p.m. that same day.

He is due for arraignment July 5 in Lake County Court.

Barnash had been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash, according to the Lady Lake Police Department, which investigated the accident. Blood tests revealed his blood alcohol level had been .159 on the night of the accident.

Barnash and Lanthier had been flown by helicopter from the scene of the accident to Ocala Regional Medical Center. Lanthier died May 18 from injuries suffered in the crash.
