Two women will have to appear in court June 29 after a hair-pulling incident at a Villages nightspot.
Lady Lake police were called at 1:13 a.m. June 12 to Margarita Republic at Spanish Springs Town Square.
Candace Dawn Durham, 27, of Fruitland Park, was talking with her ex-boyfriend when Kayla Beth Conyers, 24, also of Fruitland Park, came up and started hitting her, according to the arrest report. Durham said she struck Conyers back in self-defense. When the police officer arrived, he could see the women pulling each other’s hair out on the restaurant’s patio.
Conyers told the officer she would have walked away but Durham continued to antagonize her and she went after her, the police report indicated.
Both women were issued misdemeanor citations to appear in Lake County Court.
They were both trespassed from Margarita Republic.
