Rita O’Byrne, 82, of Summerfield, FL, born Rita Theresa Kuchenbrod of Flushing Meadows, NY, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at the Ted and Diane Brandley House in Summerfield. Rita was a devout Catholic and demonstrated her faith in word, action and spirit to everyone she met. She enjoyed hosting and participating in religious and social activities including The Red Hat’s and a local Christian Group. Rita easily made friends; she always made time for others and a game of bridge or mahjong.
Rita was a loving wife of 47 years to Mr. Nolan G. O’Byrne. She is survived by her husband; son and daughter-in-law Joseph and Jennifer O’Byrne; sister Rosemary Mastracola of Bethlehem, PA and brother Chris Kuchenbrod of Bronx, NY. Rita was preceded in death by her brothers Joseph, James and Johnny Kuchenbrod and sister Fran Rienzo.
There will be a Visitation at the Lady Lake Chapel of Beyers Funeral Home on Sunday, June 26, 2016 from 3 – 5:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mark The Evangelist Catholic Church in Summerfield on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL at 12:30 p.m.
