With the general election still more than four months away, many voters may already know who’ll they will be voting for in November.
In Sumter County, Republican Donald Trump collected 17,769 votes among the 43,319 ballots cast in March’s Presidential Preference Primary. He beat U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio by more than 10,000 votes. Democrat Hillary Clinton won 7,022 votes in Sumter County while rival Bernie Sanders received 3,022 votes.
