On Saturday July 23, The Project Legacy Team and local club pro Steven Wresh will host a Charity Golf Tournament at Continental Country Club in Wildwood, with a shot gun start at 8:30 am with lunch being provided by the Wildwood Booster Club. Proceeds from this tournament will be going to benefit the Wildwood Football program with the over flow going to other programs that impact area children and youth.
“Fruitland Park and surrounding area has and will continue to experience significant growth. With the growth and the present economy, we have become aware of specific needs for area children and teens,” said Sidney Brock of Project Legacy.
“Over four years ago, a team of local community leaders and individuals organized themselves and became known as Project Legacy. This group gathered with the purpose of creating an awareness of needs of our local children and seeking to help meet those needs with local resources.”
The tourney will feature a shotgun start at 8:30 am. Check in begins at 7 a.m. and lunch and awards will be held immediately following play. Lunch will be provided by the Wildwood Booster Club. While playing, you will have a chance to meet members of the Wildwood Football team as well as the coaching staff. Money being raised will allow the coaching staff to purchase needed equipment for the upcoming football season. Cost to play is $60 per person or $240 for a team of 4.
