The theft of a car, guns and a flat-screen from a home in the Village of Calumet Grove is under investigation by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
A neighbor spotted at 9:25 a.m. Tuesday a young white male behind the wheel of a gray 2016 Nissan Altima that belongs to a resident on Palowina Loop. She alerted law enforcement as the homeowner is out of town.
An inspection of the home revealed that a .22-caliber long rifle and a shotgun were missing. A pistol, that had been stashed in the homeowner’s nightstand, was also taken. In addition, a flat-screen television was removed from the living room.
A number of drawers were also opened in the master bedroom.
