To the Editor:

This is  one of the bigger disappointments to occur with the monopoly that is The Villages. I have seen changes the last 30 years, visiting relatives who lived here. I was happy with the healthcare made available to me over the last two years, I was told at the beginning of this year by my doctor that I would be grandfathered into the program, even though my wife was told she no longer would be unless she joined United Healthcare Medicare Advantage Plan (UHMAP). Then I got the letter stating I would no longer have medical care if I did not join the UHMAP. This plan is nothing but a money generating vehicle for the Villages Healthcare System. They need UHMAP patients who are healthy and provide that monthly payment from Medicare whether they go to the doctor or not. Hope you folks don’t mind being told what specialist to go to, what cancer specialist you can see and what hospital to go to. Enough said, look it up; hear are some things to read, enrollment time will be here soon. http://www.elderlawanswers.com
