The relationship coach who bills herself as “America’s Psychologist” has been sentenced in her arrest earlier this year at the Waterfront Inn.
Seventy-four-year-old Anne-Renee Testa, who has appeared on “Today,” “Good Morning America,” and other programs on CNN, NBC, ABC, FOX, and Court TV, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence Jan. 30 in the parking lot of the Lake Sumter Landing hotel.
Last week in Sumter County Court, Testa entered a plea of no contest to a charge of driving under the influence. She was sentenced to nine months probation and will lose her driver’s license for six months. She also has been ordered to perform 50 hours of community service.
A Sumter County sheriff’s deputy, who was investigating a complaint of a reckless driver, found Testa in the driver’s seat of a still-running dark blue Mustang at about 7 p.m. that evening in the parking lot of the hotel. The deputy asked Testa if she had been drinking and she said she had consumed two glasses of wine. She became belligerent and combative when the deputy arrested her.
