The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating an rollover accident in which a woman had to be extricated from a pickup truck.
The accident occurred at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 17000 block of South U.S. Hwy. 441, Summerfield.
Marion County Fire Rescue arrived on the scene and confirmed vehicle rollover and entrapment.

Firefighters worked quickly to extricate the female driver from the truck. Paramedics assessed her on-scene and declared a “trauma alert”. She was transported to MCFR Summerfield Station #30 and airlifted from the scene.
The cause of the accident is unknown and remains under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
