
Ruth McCulloch, The Villages, FL, passed away on Thursday September 15, 2016 on her 96th birthday. She was joined by family and the wonderful care from The Villages Hospice House. A special thank you to Paula. Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Bob McCulloch who she was married to for 47 years. Ruth was born and raised in Morgantown West Virginia. She was a trained beautician and clothing buyer in her working years. She later lived in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Hollywood, Florida, and moved to the Villages in 2001. Ruth spent 4 years at Steeplechase where she formed the Red Hat Society Steeplechase chapter. Ruth and Bob were passionate square dancers and danced around the world. Ruth was extremely involved in her church. She also contributed to Shoe Box to aid Veterans. Ruth is survived by her brother, Bob and daughter, Bobbi LaCosse. She is also survived by her step sons and daughter, Robert Jr, Jim, and Barbara. She also has too many grand kids, great grand kids, and great great grand kids to count. She loved them all. The family will hold service and host a gathering to celebrate Ruth’s life on Tuesday September 20, 2016 at 1pm at Fairway Christian Church. In lieu of flowers anyone wishing to make a donation in Ruth’s name is encouraged to consider Shoe Box or Fairway Christian Church or a charity of the donor’s choice.
