On September 16, 2016, God called David E. Kuivinen, of The Villages, FL, home to sing in His choir. He was 80 years old. Dave was born June 7, 1936 in Ashtabula, Ohio.
He graduated from Capital University with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry. Dave married his high school sweetheart, Donna. He worked for NASA Lewis Research Center in Cleveland for 32 years.
After moving to The Villages 18 years ago, Dave enjoyed church, golf and participated in the World War II and Men’s Glee Clubs.
Dave is survived by his wife of 58 years, Donna (Davidson); brother Ralph Kuivinen(Marylyn); children Debbie Dunlope (Doug), Darrell Kuivinen(Terri),and grandchildren Matt, Jack, Anna, Megan and Luke .
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church located at the Orange Blossom Hills Community Center, 9230 S.E. 154th St. Summerfield, FL 34491 on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ Lutheran Church, Capital Campaign Fund in memory of David Kuivinen.
