Lady Lake man identified as victim in fatal shooting at Wal-Mart

A 44-year-old Lady Lake man has been identified as the victim of a fatal shooting Monday night at Wal-Mart in Fruitland Park.

Mark Allen Estes died in the parking lot of the store after a what was described as a drug-related shooting.

An autopsy is being conducted  and detectives with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office are continuing to interview witnesses.

A 911 call was received at about 7:15 p.m. that night.

Lake County Sheriff’s Office spokesman John Herrell called the shooting “brazen.”

Law enforcement is seeking a 2011 red Toyota four-door Camry bearing Florida tag YL 46 X (this is a disability/wheelchair license plate).

Estes was a native of Waterbury, Conn.
