To the Editor:
How can these athletes pretend to be so worried about the injustice to the minorities while they live in the lap of luxury? The San Francisco quarterback who started this uprising was raised by white parents with white siblings in the so called white privileged household, afforded every opportunity to achieve his dream to be a football player and make millions. Other than taking a knee during the National Anthem what has he done to help his underprivileged people. Has he and now the others who are joining him moved from their big homes to the inner city to be an example to them? Have they went to the inner cities and mentored these people to help them rise up to better their lives? Have they pulled their children out of the private school and sent them to the inner city school not only to show the poor minority kid what they could have if their Mom and Dad were successful, but to show their child what it’s like when they were struggling against the injustices they experienced? NO!
