Local buffet rebrands itself in wake of closure by health inspector

A former buffet restaurant in Pinellas Plaza has completely renovated its location and rebranded itself as a bar and grill.

Evergreen Bar & Grill, formerly known as Evergreen Buffet & Grill, no longer offers the buffet that made it quite popular among Villagers living in the southern half of The Villages.

Instead, the local eatery reopened this week with a completely redesigned interior, menu, and a newly crafted bar. The new menu features traditional Chinese American cuisine.

The hibachi and sushi bar as well as the buffet stations have been completely removed and replaced with a fully stocked bar.

The renovations come just three months after a health inspector found issues that forced a temporary closure. Earlier this summer, the restaurant was forced to close for a day after a health inspector found 29 live roaches in a few places around the restaurant.
