Cows graze in a pasture that will become a construction site when new houses go up.

A 162.4-acre housing development is coming to pastureland on County Road 466 in Lady Lake.

The development, named Hammock Oaks, will be constructed on land across from Spring Arbor Village.

In addition, there will be 21.6 acres for a senior citizen housing development. There will be a 19.6 acre commercial development nestled at the corner of County Road 466 and Cherry Lake Road. Immediately south of that there will be a 22.9 acre medical office park.
