Amenity Authority Committee member Don Deakin will be returning for another term.
Deakin, who also serves as a supervisor in Community Development District 4, had faced opposition in his re-election bid from Cary Sternberg. However, this week Sternberg notified the District Office he was withdrawing his name from consideration in the upcoming election.
Deakin took the oath of office for the AAC in September 2014 after he was appointed to fill a vacancy created by the death of Rich Lambrecht. This will be Deakin’s first elected term on the committee. He resides in the Village of Chatham.
