Law enforcement officers tracked down a woman believed to have stolen a $69.55 bottle of perfume from Kohl’s in Lady Lake.

The woman entered the store on the afternoon of Sept. 8 and took a tester bottle of Michael Kors Rose Edition into a fitting room with her, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. When she exited the fitting room, the perfume was not visible. When a loss prevention officer followed the woman into the parking lot, she denied having taken anything, got into a Jeep and drove away. The loss prevention officer took a photo of the vehicle and its license plate which later led police to 33-year-old Krystle Cummings of Hernando.

She was arrested by Marion County sheriff’s deputies Oct. 4 on a warrant charging her with the theft of the perfume. She was booked at the Marion County Jail.
