
Margaret P. Reifsneider, “Peg”, 84, formally of The Villages, FL, passed from this life Sunday, October 16, 2016.
Born in Philadelphia, PA she was the daughter of the late Edward and Helen (Paris) McVeigh.
Margaret and her husband John moved to The Villages in 1997. She was a communicant of St. Timothy Catholic and served the parish as a Eucharistic Minister and in numerous other capacities. Margaret was one of the kindest people you could ever meet; she opened her heart and her home to many people in her time with us. Margaret enjoyed crafting, word search, cooking and shopping. She will be greatly missed.
Beside her parents she was predeceased by her son, John Reifsneider, Jr., siblings, Dolores Scanlon, Edward McVeigh and grandson, Jimmy Hughes.
Margaret leaves her loving husband of 62 years, John C. Reifsneider; children, William Reifsneider, Williamstown, NJ; Maureen Weiss, Ocala, FL; sister, Patricia McCormack and brothers, William McVeigh and Michael McVeigh all of Philadelphia, PA.; and 5 grandchildren; Holly, Rachel, Jack, Danielle, and Ryan; 5 great-grandchildren; Lukas, Tarynn, Alaric, Ethan, and Brody.
The family will receive relatives and friends at a visitation on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, The Villages from 4 to 7 p.m. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016 in St. Timothy Catholic Church, The Villages at 8:30 a.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers and if you so wish the family requests a donation of a can/dry food or toiletry items for the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry. It may be brought to the church visitation or a donation made to St. Vincent de Paul, mailed to St. Timothy Catholic Church 1351 Paige Place, Lady Lake, FL 32159 with a notation of “In Memory of Peg Reifsneider”
