
Edmund Trytek, 88, of The Villages, FL, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2016. Originally from Cleveland, OH and a Navy veteran, Ed played professional baseball for the Cincinnati Reds organization and continued to play baseball and softball for years well into retirement. Ed and his wife Mary, moved to The Villages in 1989 when Ed retired from Curtis 1000. They spent their years playing golf and enjoying many of the other activities with their Village friends. Ed will be sorely missed by all of those who knew and loved him. He is pre-deceased by Mary, his loving wife of 48 years. Ed is survived by his son, David (Ellen) of Elm Grove, WI, and his stepchildren: Diana Klemiuk (Michael) of Port Charlotte, FL; Donna Smaby of Lady Lake, FL; Brian Haught of Brunswick, OH; and Brenda Willis (Michael) of Punta Gorda, FL. He was the beloved grandfather of nine grandchildren and the loving great-grandfather of ten and the great-great grandfather of two.
A graveside Military service will be held at Florida National Cemetery on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 11 a.m.
A celebration of life will be held at 2p.m. following the service for friends and family at 1414 W. Schwartz Boulevard, Lady Lake.
