An 18-year-old from Lady Lake was arrested after allegedly causing $40,000 in damage to a home in Clermont.
Delbert Troy Beshires was arrested Saturday at his home at 4041 Azalea Way on a charge of burglary to an unoccupied dwelling causing more than $1,000 in damage.
A woman called 911 after discovering a 15-year-old girl she did not know laying on a bed at her residence on Oleander Drive in Clermont, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. The home was littered with broken beer bottles, a TV screen had been smashed and windows broken. Damage was estimated at $40,000. The girl told law enforcement she had been at the home with two male teenagers, Beshires and a 16-year-old with whom she had sex with at the home. She provided Beshires’ address leading to his arrest.
He was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting bond.
