A 36-year-old man was jailed on $25,000 bond after he allegedly attempted to strangle his girlfriend Friday night at The Quarters apartments in Lady Lake.
Matthew James Parrish was arrested on a charge of battery at 11:12 p.m. Friday after placing both hands around the neck of his girlfriend, cutting off her air supply, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.
He had held her down on the concrete outside of Building No. 9 at the apartment complex.
He posted the $25,000 bond early Saturday morning and was released from the Lake County Jail.
