A motorist was flown from the scene of a Thanksgiving Day accident that shut down northbound traffic on U.S. 301 at County Road 462.
A Cadillac and SUV collided at about 4 p.m., according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
One of the drivers was airlifted to Ocala Regional Medical Center. The other was transported to The Villages Regional Hospital.
