A 21-year-old woman was killed and her 23-year-old husband was critically injured in a crash Friday night in Lake County.
Colton Craine had been at the wheel of a 1991 Jeep pickup at 9:15 p.m. when he lost control of the vehicle which had been southbound on County Road 468, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol. The pickup left the roadway and struck a tree and a guardrail.
A passenger, Megan Wisdom Craine, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by the Medical Examiner. Craine suffered critical injuries.
Neither had been wearing seatbelts, the report indicated.
The crash remains under investigation.
They were married Aug. 20 and made their home in the Sandalwood Condominiums in Wildwood.
Megan worked at a dental office. She had a younger sister, Ashley, and three step-sisters.
Colton Craine has a young daughter.
