Villagers Diana and Joe Arlt sponsor the monthly Showcase of Talent events to give local performers a chance to display their ability and also raise money to help aspiring students of the arts.
The talent showcase performances are held the third Friday of the month at the La Hacienda Recreation Center.
This month the Arlts presented a check of $4,000 to Beverly Steele, founder of the Young Performing Artists of Wildwood.
The presentation was made at the group’s annual “Days of Stars Competition” in Wildwood.
