The mother of a 21-year-old woman killed last month in a single-vehicle accident in which her husband was critically injured is raising money for her daughter’s funeral expenses.

Megan Wisdom Craine had been a passenger in a 1991 Jeep pickup on the night of Nov. 25 on County Road 468 in Lake County pickup left the roadway and struck a tree and a guardrail. The 2014 graduate of Tavares High School was pronounced dead at the scene. Her husband, 23-year-old Colton Craine, suffered critical injuries. He had been at the wheel of the pickup.

I have been asked where to donate and I have been hesitant to create this account, because we are a humble group of loved ones. We need to lay Megan to rest properly and Colton will need funds during his recovery as we are unsure when he will be able to return to work,” Megan’s mother, Rebecca Wisdom, wrote when launching a GoFundMe page.

Megan and Colton were married Aug. 20 and made their home in the Sandalwood Condominiums in Wildwood. Colton has a young daughter from a previous relationship.

Even if you cannot donate, please keep Colton in your prayers for healing his body and mind. He has a long, hard road ahead of him. Thank you from the bottom of my heart,” Rebecca Wisdom said.
