A Community Development District 2 supervisor said he is disappointed that an unregistered, abandoned car has been in the Savannah Center parking lot for 10 weeks.

CDD 2 Supervisor Bryan Lifsey had asked about the vehicle at November’s board meeting and had received assurances that the problem would be addressed.

“I checked this morning, it’s still there,” Lifsey said at Friday’s board of supervisors meeting.

Villages Recreation Director John Rohan, sitting in for District Manager Janet Tutt, said staff would look into the situation.

The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office cannot do anything about the vehicle as it is sitting on private property.
