A Village of Piedmont man who won a new Yamaha golf cart this weekend through a Florida Lottery promotion, got to check out the cart for the first time Monday.
“It’s pretty cool,” said John Long, who went to The Villages Golf Cars at Lake Sumter Landing to check out the Lottery-themed golf carts.
The Florida Lottery events have gotten very popular in The Villages and it seems the lottery continues to try to up the ante to bring in bigger and bigger crowds.

Long plans to pick up the cart on Thursday.
