An 18-year-old woman was arrested after she was caught driving without a license this weekend in Lady Lake.
Shayona Young of Leesburg was spotted driving 60 miles per hour in a 40 mph zone at 11:15 p.m. Saturday on U.S. Hwy. 27/441, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.
The officer determined that Young’s license had been suspended on Oct. 20 for failure to pay traffic fines.
She was booked at the Lake County Jail on a charge of driving while license suspended. She was released after posting $1,000 bond.
