A 31-year-old Lady Lake man was arrested early Thursday morning after he spotted riding a bicycle without lights.
Bryan Keith Stein had been riding a bicycle on the sidewalk at about 6 a.m. Thursday at U.S. Hwy. 27/441 and Spring Lake Road, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy stopped Stein and explained to him it was necessary for a bicycle to have lights if it was being ridden at night. Stein said it wasn’t his bicycle and he didn’t know that, the report indicated.
A patdown revealed that Stein was in possession of hypodermic needles and methamphetamine. He was booked at the Lake County Jail on $3,000 bond.
