A woman was extricated from her vehicle after a collision Monday with a semi-tractor trailer on U.S. Hwy. 441 in Summerfield.

Marion County Fire Rescue was dispatched at 2:21 a.m. to the collision at U.S. Hwy. 441 and SE 131st Place not far from the Market of Marion.

MCFR crews arrived on the scene at 2:24 a.m. and found the female driver of the Honda entrapped underneath the rear end of the tractor trailer.

Crews freed the woman from the wreckage in a little more than 10 minutes. The driver was declared a “trauma alert” and transported to a local hospital.
