Two suspects are being sought in connection with the theft of batteries from Wal-Mart at Buffalo Ridge Plaza in The Villages.
On Dec. 23, the two men loaded into a cart six Ever Start GC2 batteries valued at $102.32 each. Once the cart was loaded, the men exited the store without purchasing the batteries and loaded them into their vehicle and left the parking lot onto County Road 466, according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
Additionally, the two men attempted to make another theft this past Tuesday, however store employees were able to prevent them from doing so and the men left empty handed in a Nissan Frontier.
