A Village of Piedmont man discovered pry marks on the front and rear doors of his home, indicating an attempted break-in at his residence.
The 82-year-old homeowner, who resides on Abercorn Court, had been away for about a month and discovered the pry marks upon his return, according to an incident report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
The homeowner also reported that it appeared someone had attempted to pry open his garage door, the report indicated.
Damage was estimated at $600.
