Last week’s Central Florida League action created a three way tie for first place.
Harlan Insurance defeated Softball’s R Game 12-11 creating the tie.
Ed Shirk and Jim Morton paced Harlan with three hits each. Adding a pair of hits apiece were: Fred Hughes, Bud Ramsey, Don Melcher, and Vinny Caso. Softball’s R Game came up short in the top of the seventh scoring two runs before the final out came. Leading SRG were: Jim Stencil, Dick Smith, and Jerry Jensen, who all had three hits. Ed Krisha, Denis Hodge, Scott Marshall, and Paul Isenberg contributed two hits each in the loss.
Palm Ridge Dental remained in the hunt for first place with a 17-4 win over FBC Mortgage.
Dana Lambillotte led Palm Ridge with four hits and Gary Nicolay, Mike Jeffries, Ken Scanlon, and Gary Luck had three hits. Ed Haith, John Goulet, Ed DeMaio, George Loew, and Bobby Green had a pair of hits. FBC Mortgage had a pair of hits from Rocky Spottswood and Jim Joseph. Ed Konopka had a triple and scored on a sacrifice fly by sub, Bill DiCarlo. DiCarlo drove in another run with a single.
Paul Davis Restorations remained in the first place group by defeating Babiarz Law 12-5.
Tom Ramberg led PDR with three hits, while Bob Buchanan, Bill Nisbet, Vin Stebbins, Doug Nantais and Jack Nagle all had two hits. Babiarz got three hits from Craig Dahlquist, John Plunkard, and Mark Goodwin. Adding a pair of hits were: Ed Moriarity, Ken Link, and Chuck Mays.
Fross & Fross scored a win by defeating Humana 12-7.
Jack Meagher and Tim Healey led Fross with three hits each. Randy Bowen, Dave Pope, Gary DePalma, John Gouin, and Al DuBuc stroked a pair of hits in the win. Humana got three hits each from: Duane Broschat and Bob Roth. Tom McGann, Jim Kitzler, Jim Gordon added a pair of hits apiece for Humana.
Arden Jewelers remained right behind the front runners with a 12-11 win over Synergy Wealth.
Arden manager and pitcher, John Ashby led his team with three hits. Adding a pair of hits each were: John Meindl, Mark Hildebrand, Bob Cramer, and Mike DiMaio. Synergy got three hits from John Reedy and two apiece from: Rick Duemler, Vinny Pezzullo, Roy Warter, Tom Winegarden, Dave Williams, and manager, Vernon Brooks.
CFL CardPlus handled IHOP 15-8.
Don Brozick and Dale Neff led the CFL team with three hits each. Adding a pair for the winners were: Manny Sanchez, Tom Brock, Dennis Bauch, and manager, Tom Bortle. IHOP’s Will Kutter was perfect on the day with three hits and a sacrifice fly. The only other IHOP player to get more than one hit was pitcher Jim Lambert with two.
