Jim and Jean Milligan of the Village of Calumet Grove had a special reason to celebrate St Patrick’s Day. They first met more than  30 years ago while running rival insurance agencies in Ohio. After merging their agencies they decided to get married 20 years ago.

“I’m Irish and so is Jean so we decided to get married on St. Patrick’s Day as everyone has a party on St. Paddies Day,” Jim said.
The Milligans bought a house in the Village of Calumet Grove six years ago and spend the summer up north. They often travel in March and had never seen the St. Patrick’s Day Parade before.

Campbell arranged for the Milligans to celebrate their special day by leading the Irish clubs of the Villages in the parade.
