To the Editor:
I am a daily reader of this forum. I have remained silent until now. But, after seeing all of the posts touting President? Trump’s greatness, I feel compelled to speak out.
Trumpers, did any of you witness the recent interview of Trump with CBS’s John Dickerson? I was appalled. While I see that you supporters are intelligent folks, how in GOD’s green earth could you watch that interview, and come away with a positive view of Trump? He is illiterate and completely out of touch with reality. He was stating that Andrew Jackson (slave owner) had a dim view of the Civil War and Trump wondered why it couldn’t have been avoided. He was completely oblivious to the fact that Jackson died 16 yrs before the war took place. The man can’t put a sentence together, let alone form a opinion based in reality. He is an embarrassment to this country. Now he would be honored to have a meeting with Kim Jong Il? President Duterte is a great leader? I am all about diplomacy to resolve our issues with other nations but, these men are great, honorable leaders? I don’t think so.
What will it take for you Trumpers to admit that you made a mistake? The man doesn’t really want to be there. He reveres totalitarian leaders, and would emulate them in a heartbeat if he was allowed to. That isn’t the way things work here in America.
Please Trumpers, take off your rose-colored glasses and see him for the mistake he is.
