To the Editor:
Ms. Shearer recently claimed we need a Special Prosecutor because Trump fired three people who were supposedly investigating Trump. Typical obfuscation, I think.
Bharera is a Democrat… who was not doing his job. If he had been, he would have already been investigating the Clinton Foundation and pay-for-play, and many other events within his jurisdiction. But, under Clinton and Obama influence, Democrats got a free ride. So, it appears he is only interested in investigating things that might be favorable to Democrats. A political hack.
Yates was fired for not doing her job. Consider the difference in standards that Ms. Shearer conveniently forgets to mention… Democrats under Obama and Kagan, Kagan as Solicitor General did what she was ordered to do by blocking every legal attempt to uncover Obama’s records, and she was well-rewarded with a Supreme Court appointment. A political hack.
Comey was just plain incompetent as the FBI Director. Instead of doing the investigative work and turning it over to be handled by prosecutors, he “went public” too often, with timing that made it clear he was more politically motivated than concerned with justice. Political hack, or just incompetent? Not sure with him.
I’m also not sure a Special Prosecutor could found who could be independent and effective… [s]he first has to have properly investigated facts upon which to base a prosecution. The Justice Department, after eight years of Holder and Lynch and their conduct and staffing, is just not trustworthy. But, if he goes outside, he’s going to be accused of bias. So, it’s a no-win… for Trump or for justice.
What is really irritating to me is the double standard by which the lib / progs, who seem to control the Democratic Party, operate. When they ran the show and overtly forced arms of government to do the President’s will and bidding, that was considered just fine. For example, when the President and Attorney General decided to not uphold the laws of the country, and used various tools to subvert the will of the people legislated in congress, that was OK. But, if Trump or the GOP want to do anything similar, it is suddenly a heinous crime. When Nixon destroyed evidence and lied about it, it was an impeachable offense. But, when Obama and Secretary of State / candidate Clinton destroyed evidence and lied, she was lauded and those who found it offensive were labeled as anti-feminine and a whole host of other labels. And it’s racist to think about holding Obama responsible for what happened on his watch as President.
Show me you can apply the same standards to your people as you apply to the GOP and Trump, and I’ll be able to agree with you about real things that can be done for justice, and this country. But, keep obfuscating and pushing your inconsistent double standard and I have no choice but to continue to not trust whatever you say.
