Engineering study to be performed at gate at entrance to Bridgeport at Lake Sumter

The Project Wide Advisory has ordered that an engineering study be performed at the gate at the entrance to the Village of Bridgeport at Lake Sumter.

There has been plenty of discussion about that particular gate recently.

This past Friday, residents of the Village of Bridgeport at Lake Sumter attended meetings of the Community Development District 5 and 6 boards of supervisors. They urged the boards to leave in place a set of speed bumps on the multi-modal path near the entrance. The two boards agreed to have a joint meeting about the speed bumps.

The gate was recently reconfigured.

The residents have indicated they are concerned about line of sight at the entrance.
